Biography: The younger sister of Akahito Takahara, Namiko took up vanguard after losing one too many times at Duel Monsters to her older brother. Surprisingly, the two of them don’t talk much. She made the trip out to Uminari after hearing there may be a Vanguard tournament coming up, since there isn’t much of a Vanguard scene back home.

Attitude: Generally laid-back, good natured, tends to joke around. A fair bit more reserved after the events of Season One.
Biography: A fair bit has changed for Akahito since he got caught up in the events surrounding Uminari city and its duel adacemy. Some students still whisper rumors about him nearly killing his opponents with powerful cards that inflicted real damage. Ultimately, he’s still the same person, despite his trials, if a touch more cynical.

Attitude: Mischievous, but nice on the surface (although quite sarcastic and profane.)
Biography: Kerath's sarcasm and profanity are tempered (slightly) by Celeste's influence on him, as she continues trying to redeem him as she puts it.  He, on the other hand, wants her to loosen up.  Both are succeeding.
Kerath in general is the type who wants to do what is right, no matter how many things, laws, or people he has to break in order to do so.
After being badgered by Celeste into trying out the game, he's settled on Murakumo, although much to his dismay he found himself specializing in units *beyond* the Stealth Dragons that had initially caught his eye in the clan.
Frustrated by his weakness, after the events of the tournament he made a deck change, and took up the deck he had bought for Celeste before she sacrificed her own life to help save the world.

Biography: During the winter break Anzod has locked himself up into his dorm room and barely leaves it. he can always be heard inside building something, only coming out for food and water. When Celeste texted the raiders group to meet up he thought it was about time to see his friends again as well as look into this vanguard game after he has researched it more.

Attitude: Stoic and with a somewhat stiff and formal manner of speech, Nimi conducts herself in a manner befitting one of Nao's 'knights'. Capable of drifting out of focus as soon as she's no longer necessary, she serves as a bodyguard for her Lord (Nao) and Lady (Azure).
Biography: Seems like she's been hanging around for a while, but only now does she actually appear in the fore, serving as Azure's replacement on Nao's Vanguard team. Her loyalty to Nao is almost unnaturally strong, and oddly for a member of Nao's group, she doesn't seem interested in ever being given Nao's affection - or even seem to think she's worthy of it.

Attitude: Having made an effort to clean herself up considerably after her debacle with SaaZe, Rei seems a lot happier alongside her 'oneesama', and is generally a nicer person all around.
Biography: Coming to Vanguard after Kerath invited her and Sai, Rei has taken to it like a duck to water, immediately finding a deck that suits her and clearly enjoying playing something more relaxing.

Attitude: Dour, sullen, and somewhat snarky, but she's still able to move perfectly in sync with Nao, almost without thinking about it, and still gives Nao her support whenever she's asked to.
Biography: Nao's former 'princess', but she grew disillusioned due to Nao's lack of care for her personally, rather than just having someone filling the role, which she still needles Nao about occasionally. Unlike most of Nao's fanclub, she's actually a Ra Yellow, but her Vanguard skills are apparently top notch.

Attitude: Lazy and not fond of doing things that require a lot of effort, it's something of a mystery how such a blase woman became a feared champion as a child - before she dropped off the radar, anyway.
Biography: Suenami Midori's wife, and a former child prodigy of the game, who mercilessly crushed her opponents with a lightning fast Kagero blitz deck. After she dropped off the radar, she assumed the name Nakadai Nagi and eventually became involved with Midori. Her powers aren't as strong as Midori's, allowing her to play more safely in a tournament environment.

Attitude: More playful than Ginko, Midori is significantly more laidback and relaxed about pretty much everything - although she can afford to be.
Biography: Former champion in both Duel Monsters and Vanguard, current head of the Suenami Zaibatsu; Midori is currently in Uminari on holiday, having taken the opportunity to blow off some steam that ends up accumulating with her working behind a desk all the time. Brought in at the last second to replace JoJo on Lord's team, she hasn't had much opportunity to practice with her deck, and has had to take measures to limit her own power, so that she won't break something - it is a tournament for (allegedly) fun, after all.

Attitude: Confident and supportive, an ideal older brother. He cares a lot about his family, and obviously has a fondness for sports (especially football), considering he's gotten good enough at it to be going to college on scolarship for it. He enjoys any sport that puts him in the limelight, and Vanguard is another one of these sports.
Biography: Iris' older brother, an experienced Cardfighter who's off on a college football scholarship. He's returned for the summer to visit his family, and he was the one who pushed Mary and Iris into entering the tournament to try and help build their confidence.
